What happened to Spring?

I’m wondering where Spring and Fall have gone? One day in April, it’s sleeting/snowing in “the Burg”, and later in the same month my indoor/outdoor thermometer is registering a max outdoor temperature of 109 F. I think that my thermometer may be about 20 degrees off when it’s in the sunlight, but still. What happend to those days where it was warm enough to wear shorts, but not hot enough to make you sweat? What happened to the days when it was chilly in the morning and evening, but plesant during the day? This morning at 8AM (imagine that, I was up and mobile at 8AM) it was comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt. It shouldn’t be that warm yet! Well now it’s raining here, and I don’t want to ruin the computer with lightning, so I’m off for the day.

What’s up with this random precipitation here in Blacksburg?!?
Back in High Point (NC), you can at least see it/smell it/taste it before it hits you!
